FaceTite: Everything You Need To Know

FaceTite: Everything You Need To Know

It can be a challenging time when the signs of ageing begin creeping up on you. Slowly, the image of ourselves in the mirror doesn’t quite resemble the youthful person we know ourselves to be. And maybe we took our wrinkle-free and lifted skin for granted when we were younger, wishing now that we could turn back the clock or hit pause.

But thanks to a revolution in advanced skin treatments, it’s no longer necessary to go under the knife to rediscover a youthful appearance. Non-surgical facelifts and non-invasive cosmetic procedures are the hot topic of the moment, thanks to their minimised risks, less downtime and results that would give a surgical facelift a run for its money.

FaceTite is one of these procedures, which does exactly what it says on the tin – and more. It’s a cosmetic treatment and an alternative to surgery that primarily targets the signs of ageing on the mid to lower face. But it can also be used on areas of the body too. Think tighter, firmer, more youthful-looking skin.

This is a treatment that really excites our award-winning team because the results are simply stunning. It’s available to patients at our 5-star-rated clinic in Amersham who are looking for the ultimate facial contouring and skin rejuvenation procedure.

FaceTite: Everything You Need To Know

What is FaceTite?

FaceTite is a solution to the visible signs of ageing that doesn’t require surgery. What sets it apart from other treatments is its dual-action technology. It helps to eliminate fat deposits in the skin, helping to lift and firm areas of concern, while also encouraging collagen production.

Collagen is an essential ingredient that keeps skin firm. Unfortunately, as we age, we produce less collagen, and our skin begins to sag because it doesn’t have as much elastin to bounce back.

How Does it Work?

The FaceTite device uses a small cannula that’s inserted under your skin through small incisions to emit radiofrequency energy. The probe targets deeper layers of your skin and heats the fat deposits, causing them to break down and disperse while simultaneously stimulating the body’s natural collagen production.

Popular Treatment Areas

FaceTite is primarily used in areas where there is a build-up of fat cells, or anywhere you have concerns about lines and wrinkles. For most people, this will be the jawline, jowls, chin, neck, cheeks and around the nose and mouth (nasolabial folds).

What Are The Expected Results?

In our experience, FaceTite delivers impressive results that make it look as though the clock has been turned back a few years.

The skin-tightening and lifting effect gives you a much more rejuvenated look with a visible reduction in skin laxity, lines and wrinkles and a reduced amount of skin sagging in the treatment area.

How Long Do The Results Last?

One of the most impressive things about this treatment is that the results can last for 3 to 5 years. Not bad for a 30 – 60 minute treatment! If you have particularly respondent skin and live a healthy lifestyle, results could last up to 7 years.

FaceTite won’t stop the ageing process, but it will reset the clock, giving you a few more years of youthful skin.

Are There Any Risks With the FaceTite Procedure?

The risks from this procedure are minimal, especially compared to those associated with surgery. It does require making small incisions in the skin which can lead to the risk of infection, however, since these wounds are tiny, they heal quickly and the risk of infection is greatly reduced by wearing the compression garment which will be supplied after treatment.

There are also no stitches required so you needn’t worry about scarring. The incisions are strategically and carefully placed to minimise the risk of scars. Serious complications and side effects are very rare. These will be explained to you during a thorough consultation to assess your suitability for FaceTite.

Is FaceTite Treatment Painful?

Pain is kept to a minimum with the help of local anaesthetic. No incision will be made until this has taken effect. The anaesthetic injections may sting a little but this is short-lived and you’ll soon experience numbness in the treatment area.

What’s The Recovery Like?

You may experience some swelling, bruising and minor discomfort in the days following your procedure. These should resolve quickly, and you can expect to enjoy a rejuvenated appearance shortly after treatment.

Can I Combine FaceTite With Other Skin Treatments?

FaceTite can work in combination with other procedures such as dermal fillers, liposuction, anti-wrinkle injections and laser skin resurfacing. Our professional team can devise a treatment plan tailored to your specific concerns.
